Meghan Markle Opens Up About Archie and Lilibet’s School Routine

In a recent appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, Meghan Markle gave listeners a rare insight into her daily life with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex confirmed that the siblings are enrolled in different schools.

During the April 28 episode, Meghan shared details of her morning routine, starting as early as 6:30 a.m. “This morning was a little different since Archie has a cold and stayed home from school,” she explained. On a typical day, Meghan said she gets her kids ready, prepares breakfast, and handles lunch if it wasn’t packed the night before. “I really enjoy making their lunch boxes and leaving a little note inside. It brings me joy,” she added.

When her schedule allows, Meghan takes on school drop-offs herself, although it’s quite the task. “They go to separate schools, so on the mornings I do drop-off, I’m out from 6:30 and don’t get back until around 9,” she noted. On other days, the family’s trusted nanny of five years steps in to help.

The Sussexes have been living in Montecito, California, since their 2020 move from the UK. Prince Archie, now five, and Princess Lilibet, three, attend schools near their home. The age difference likely plays a role in why they’re not in the same institution.

Back in a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan reflected on how different her life would be if they had remained in Britain. She remarked that school runs would have turned into media events with “a press pen of 40 photographers,” making it nearly impossible to enjoy such ordinary moments.
