Does Rashid leave bbl? If not so how long it will take to make his return to BBL? The BBL Super star Rashid “the mystery” Khan said that after leave his team in mid of season of BBL. He would consider his future BBL competition strongly after unpleasant news from CA. Recently Cricket Australia withdraw from the ODI series from Afghanistan. Furthermore, Rashid also mentions that he would consider his future BBL,

This decision from CA sets us back in that journey.  If playing vs Afghanistan is so uncomfortable for Australia, then I wouldn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable with my presence in the BBL.”

Rashid Khan, one of the world’s mysterious and devastating white-ball players who has starred for the Adelaide Strikers. He has left BBL and his team in mid of the running season. Rashid was Adelaide’s leading wicket-taker in both BBL|07 and BBL|08 and was also voted by his teammates as the club’s Most Valuable Player for the second straight season because of his bowling and batting stats. But why he left the team?

Cricket Australia has decided to withdraw its men’s team from the three-match series in Afghanistan in March, quoting the national issue of Afghanistan about the Taliban’s ban on women and girls’ education and employment in Afghanistan. CA stated the decision to opt out of the tour was made in consultation with the Australian government. Responding to the comments, CA CEO Nick Hockley said it was “clearly a very challenging and sad situation”. Moreover, He said “We did not take this decision lightly and consulted widely including with our Government.”

We were hopeful of playing the series and have been in regular dialogue with the Afghanistan Cricket Board, however announcements by the Taliban in late November and late December signaling the deterioration of basic human rights for women in Afghanistan led to our decision to withdraw from these games. Basic human rights are not politics.”

Nick Hockley-CEO Cricket Australia

Afghanistan is the only nation that remains without any ICC women’s team. They will be the only full member without a side at the inaugural Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2023.

After the hurtful statement of CA regarding playing cricket on home soil, Rashid Khan tweeted, along with tagging the Cricket Australia, the BBL, and ACB officials,

I am really disappointed to hear that Australia has pulled out of the series to play us in March. I take great pride in representing my country, and we have made great progress on the World stage.

Cricket! The only hope for the country. Keep politics out of it.”

Rashid Khan-Via Tweeter

Rashid Khan played eight matches for the Strikers this season before going to play in the SA20 league. He is not expected yet to return to Australia to play the remaining season with Adelaide Strikers.

“We acknowledge and applaud Rashid Khan’s and other Afghanistan cricketers’ comments at the time condemning the Taliban’s decision to ban women from universities. Rashid will always be welcome in the BBL,” Hockley said after Rashid’s heartfelt’s tweets.

Rashid Khan raised his voice to support women in his country since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.

ACB called CA’s statement “pathetic”, moreover they said they will write this issue to ICC accusing the Australians of “prioritizing political interests over the principles of fair play and sportsmanship”. Furthermore, they said Australia was “undermining the integrity of the game and damaging the relationship between the two nations”

ACB reinforced Rashid’s stance by saying it would “rethink the participation of Afghan players in the Big Bash League”.

ICC CEO Geoff Allardice has said recent developments in Afghanistan were “concerning”, and confirmed the issue would be raised at its next meeting.

Our board has been monitoring progress since the change of regime. It is a concern that progress is not being made in Afghanistan and it’s something our board will consider at its next meeting in March. As far as we are aware, there isn’t activity at the moment.”

Geoff Allardice-ICC CEO

Afghanistan’s Men Cricket’s Team’s Rashid, though has been their dominant striker at the Strikers. He has took with over 400 runs and nearly 100 wickets to his name.
