The artist line-up for PSL 8 official song has been disclosed. As per reports, the PSL 8 official song will be sung by Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi, while the anthem will be composed by Abdullah Siddiqui.
Najam Sethi removed Ali Sethi from PSL 8 official song
Initially, Ali Sethi and Pasoori team were set to sing PSL 8 official anthem but Ali was removed by his father and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman-Najam Sethi.

Abdullah Siddiqui
Abdullah Siddique will produce the anthem for the second consecutive year. Because Siddiqui was the producer for the PSL 7 anthem, “Aagay Dekh”. The previous was with Atif Aslam and Aima Baig and this time he’ll do it with Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi.
Asim Azhar
Along with Abdullah Siddiqui, Asim Azhar will be participating in the second season of PSL to participate in the official anthem. He was a part of the PSL 6 official anthem “Tayyar Ho” along with Arif Lohar, Ali Azmat, and Haroon. The anthem generated a million views on the social media platform.
Shae Gill
Shae Gill got famous last year for her debuted song “Pasoori”. She became popular after her debut in Coke Studio season 14. The song become one of the most popular songs in the country and it goes beyond the boundaries as it ranked high on the global charts.
Faris Shafi
Along with two singers, Faris Shafi will add a taste of rap to PSL 8 official anthem. He is the one of most regarded rappers in Desi Hip-Hop. He was also featured in Coke Studio season 14 twice. The first one was along with his sister Misha Shafi “Muaziz Sharif” while the other one was in “Yeh Dunya” along with Karakoram and Talha Anjum.
Release Date of PSL 8 song
The release date of the song is not revealed yet. It is expected to be released in the coming days while the tournament is just a week away.
Hosting-Cities for PSL 8
The 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will begin on the 13th of February. Along with Multan, which will be hosting PSL’s opening ceremony and match for the first time in its history Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will be the city-hosting of PSL 8.
The final of the PSL 8 will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium on the 19th of March.
