Two former Israeli prime ministers have joined forces in a significant political move aimed at reshaping the country’s upcoming election battle against long-time leader Benjamin Netanyahu.
Right-wing politician Naftali Bennett and centrist leader Yair Lapid have announced the merger of their political parties into a new alliance called “Together.”

In a joint televised announcement, Bennett described the merger as a “patriotic” and “Zionist” step aimed at national unity and political stability.
Lapid emphasized trust between the two leaders despite ideological differences, calling the alliance a strategic effort to focus on winning the upcoming election.

Polls indicate Netanyahu’s Likud party remains a strong contender, although its support has fluctuated following the events of October 2023 and subsequent regional conflicts.
